1. Introduction

Welcome to Classmate AI (“we”, “us”, or “the Service”). These Terms of Service govern your use of the Classmate AI website and mobile application. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the Service and for the accuracy of the information provided during registration.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information, including name, email, class, board, and school.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or attempt to extract or misuse the Service's content or AI responses.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any purpose other than personal learning
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI prompts or system behavior
  • Submit content that is illegal, abusive, or inappropriate
  • Impersonate another person or provide false information
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, usage quotas, or access controls

5. AI-generated content

Classmate AI uses artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic) to generate tutoring responses, hints, practice questions, and solutions. While we take care to ensure accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies.

You should verify important information, especially before using AI responses for formal assessments. We are not liable for any academic consequences of relying on AI-generated content.

6. Subscription & billing

Classmate AI offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually depending on the plan you select. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.

We offer a 7-day refund window for first-time paid subscriptions. After this window, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Intellectual property

All content provided by Classmate AI — including the AI tutor responses, practice questions, solutions, design, mascot, and trademarks — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may use this content for personal learning only; you may not redistribute, republish, or commercialize it without written permission.

User-submitted content (problems you share, attempts you make) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a limited license to process it and improve the Service.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will always be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Classmate AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
